I hope you are fine. I haven’t seen a post for a while. Thanks for leaving me a comment. I think the reason they call the plant “Mother-in-law’s tongue” is because they are both said to be sharp tongued.and sharp can be either pointed or harsh. I chose a lovely Mother-in-law. In fact, I often joke that I married my husband to get his mother. In Japanese the plant is called Tiger tail and in Chinese it is Tiger tail orchid and in some other places called snake plant. It comes from Africa and I wonder what they call it there. Have a great day.
